THE LAW CENTER FOR ECONOMIC & SOCIAL JUSTICEIn pursuit of its ultimate mission to achieve transformational change in the economic and social structures of our society, the Foundation also funds and supports organizations and individuals who advocate for societal change that results in a more equitable distribution of resources and a fairer society. Keeping this ultimate goal in mind, the Foundation is collaborating with the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild to create a non-profit law center that will provide advocacy and legal services to support activists who are engaged in the promotion of economic and social justice issues.
To carry out its objectives, the law center will harness the resources of grassroots community organizations, along with its own resources, to effectuate changes in the law that advance economic and social justice issues. Although it will engage in litigation, its main focus will be advocacy. |
